Make him a mere commodity
His women an object of sexual pleasure

Degrade him and make him lose his self-worth

Colonize his land and people
Make him a subject, not a citizen
Force him to pledge allegiance to an unknown “Queen”
And sing anthems of foreign nations

Destroy the autonomy and sovereignty of his nation

Create countries for him that he doesn’t know
Artificial combinations of people without consent
Arbitrary nations without freewill or coherence
Lump together unwilling partners

Let their countries be perpetually disunited

Convert them to foreign religions
Let them worship gods they do not know or fear
Disorient them with new beliefs
Unsure from whence they come or go

Let them lose their spiritual authenticity

Let them speak English or French
Latin, Spanish, German or Arabic
Let them learn A, B, C and sing English nursery rhymes
Discarding all notions of local learning or knowledge

Unhinge them from all familiar language and education

Let them wear suits, wigs and dresses
Listen to pop music and rock and roll
Build Western-style brick houses in the tropics
And watch Hollywood films and television

Let them seek to become Anglo-Saxons and Arabs

Let them produce inputs for our factories
Labour and consumers for our corporations
Organise their governments like Britain’s parliament or America’s presidency
And give them strange laws to abide with

And you will get a confused mind.
